How Counseling Can Benefit You

We’ve talked in the past about the evaluation and treatment process, however, we have not touched on the stress parents feel each and every day. Balancing schedules, working through behaviors, and making tough decisions can make some days hard. ADS can help. We not only provide diagnostic evaluations, but also counseling for individuals, couples, and families.

Counseling, like most things, is not a one size fits all. People attend counseling for many different reasons. They might have specific goals, or they might just need someone to talk to and process all of the changes and stress happening in their life. Counseling can: increase self-esteem, reduce stress, improve healthy interactions with others, increase happiness, and many others. It is a safe and confidential place for you to go and find peace.

Counseling appointments can be scheduled weekly, monthly, as needed, or any way you and your therapist decide is appropriate. Counseling is one way to practice self-care (a term we will touch on in our up and coming posts). A way to show yourself the love and grace you deserve.
